The experience of being in a race paddock can be addictive. Riders and mechanics work, eat, sleep, and party together. Vans, tents, and motorhomes are parked adjacent to workshop tents. The sound of wrenches, hammers, revving engines, and occasional swearing mix to create a symphony of sound. The smells of rubber, oil, fuel, exhaust, and sweat combine to form a lusty cologne, the smell of speed. The camaraderie between the race teams and riders offsets the natural tension of race preparation. Each machine is different; art is made from plastic and metal.
